The Wildling Museum in Los Olivos will screen 2 films:" Backyard Barn Owls" by Bert Kersey and "White Mane" by Albert Lamorisse.
"Backyard Barn Owls" is a fascinating, informative, and entertaining 27 minute film documenting the "growing up" of some Barn Owls hatched in a backyard owl house and viewed from the living room window over a period of weeks.
"White Mane" is the moving story of the wild stallion of the Camargue who is too proud to be broken by humans, but is miraculously tamed by Folco, a young fisherman.
Screening begins at 7:30 pm in the museums new gallery at 2928 San Marcos Ave. in Los Olivos. The Museum will open at 7:00 so that the audience can view the current exhibition "Wildlings from the Deep", browse in the gift shop, and enjoy the free refreshments before the films.
The first Friday of each month, the Wildling Art Museum, a museum devoted to the art of America's wilderness, screens notable films about nature or art and invites the public to come see them free of charge.
