Wilderness Spirit Award Gala Dinner and Auction to benefit the Wildling Art Museum
The Wildling Art Museum will hold its Wilderness Spirit Award Gala Dinner and Auction on September 12, 5:00-:9:30 pm. Peter Howorth, Founder and Director of the Santa Barbara Marine Mammal Center, will be presented with the Museum's Wilderness Spirit Award. The Award, which includes a bronze plaque on the large stone at the entryway to the Museum, is designed to honor someone whose life work has led to a greater appreciation of America's wilderness.
The evening will begin with a reception (5-6:30 pm) at J. Woeste's garden shop on the corner of Nojoqui St. and Alamo Pintado. Hors d'oeuvres provided by New West Catering and local wines will be served. A three course dinner prepared by New West and a live auction conducted by Jim Fiolek will follow in the courtyard of St. Mark's Episcopal Church across the street.
Lunch and tour of Michael Jackson's beloved Neverland Ranch for 12 guests will be auctioned off. This is just one of a number of special opportunities being auctioned off that evening for the benefit of the Museum.
Tickets for the benefit are $150 per person. For more information call 805-688-1082 or log onto www.wildlingmuseum.org
