Birding Field Course - Wildling Museum
The Wildling Art Museum will be offering another one of its popular birding field courses this fall. "Birds of the Santa Ynez Valley Region," a six week course led by wildlife biologist, Dr. Fred Emerson, meets on Monday mornings 8:30 - 10:30 am, and the fall series will run from October 5 through Nov. 9. This course, limited to 20 students, is designed both for novices and experienced birders alike, and   many enroll more than once. The first class will meet at the Museum, 2928 San Marcos Avenue in Los Olivos, and then caravan   to a great birding site along the Santa Ynez River. The following 5 sessions will be held at different locations in the area, including a private ranch in Happy Canyon, Oso Flaco in Guadalupe, Refugio Beach Park, one of the parks in Lompoc, and the Sedwick Reserve. This will enable students to identify birds that frequent different habitats.

The fee for the course is $100 ($75 for Museum members). For registration and further information, call the Wildling Art Museum at 688-1082 or consult the Museum's website: www.wildlingmuseum.org
