07:00 AM One Man, One Wheel, One Trip

500+ mile bicycle ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles, raising money for the Arthritis Foundation.  Santa Ynez resident, Jim Massie, will participate, on a unicycle.  The race begins September 20th on Pier 39 in San Francisco and will travel to Solvang the evening of September 25.  For more information on the ride or to donate in Mr. Massie's name, log onto www.cccsocal.kintera.org/massie

10:00 AM Cachuma Lake Nature Walk

Cachuma Lake Nature Walk & Junior Ranger Program:  1-mile walk for all ages on the Oak Canyon Trail from 10 - 11:30 am every Saturday. (Free with $8 Park admission per vehicle.) Junior Park Rangers Program (ages 3-12) from 1 - 2 pm. Kids under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Learn about wildlife, caring for the environment, & earn a badge. ($2 per child.) 01:00 PM Auditions for the Valley Community Theater

Auditions for men's and women's roles in The Valley Community Theatre's "The Underpants"  from 1-4p.m. at the Grange in Los Olivos.  Show dates are November 13, 14, & 15.  If you wish to reserve a specific audition time, call Linda at 805/688-7423, otherwise you will be seen in the order of arrival.  A persual copy of teh scrpt will be available at the Solvang Library beginning September 8th.
