Sedgwick Public Hike
The Sedgewick reserve holds its monthly hike beginning at 8:30 am. There are 3 hikes, with varying difficulty. Each is two to three hours. Reservations are required. E-mail sedgwick@lifesci.uscb.edu or call 686-1941.

Cachuma Lake Nature Walk
Cachuma Lake Nature Walk & Junior Ranger Program: 1-pmile walk for all ages on the Oak Canyon Trail from 10 to 11:30 am every Saturday. (Free with $6 Park Admission per vehicle) Junior Rangers Progam (ages 3-12) from 1 to 2pm. Kids under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Learn about wildlife, caring for the environment, and earn a badge. ($2 per c hild) Both activities meet at the Cachuma Lake Nature Center . 825-688-4515. www.cachuma.com.

BBQ & music at Santa Ynez Valley Christian Academy, from 11am to 4pm. Celebration 2008. The event includes a bake sale and silent auction. Games & crafts. BBQ tickets are $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for children. The school is located at 891 Refugio Rd., Santa Ynez.
