UCSB's 6,000 -acre offers hikes on the second Saturday of each month between November and June. Also offered are tours of the old barn, new meeting house and new observatory. St. Mark's-in-the-Valley holds its book sale at 2901 Nojoqui in Los Olivos. Opening night is from 5 to 8 pm, Novemer 6th for $10, which includes a free glass of wine or other beverage and hors d'oeuvres. There is no admission the other days and the sale is from 9 am to 4 pm. Books are $2 an inch.
