"Empty Bowls" campaign
On Thursday, October 16, many Santa Ynez and Los Alamos valley restaurants and winery tasting rooms will once again donate a portion of their gross proceeds from breakfast, lunch, dinner, or tasting to People Helping People's (PHP) Food Program that fights hunger in the Santa Ynez and Los Alamos valleys.
Participants announced so far in the sixth "Empty Bowls" campaign are A-Ru Restaurant, Longoria Wins, Solvang Restaurant, Starting Gate at the Marriott, Stolpman Vineyards and Winery, Tower Pizza and Wandering Dog Wine.
Restaurants and winery tasting rooms participating Oct. 16 in the Empty Bowls fundraiser will be displaying the Empty Bowls poster signifying their support. For more information or to volunteer to participate, call Joan at 686-0295 or 3-mail to php@syvphp.org.
